An update on order fulfillment

When we launched Greenlight and promised that every card would be factory-certified by trained technicians, we had no idea it would take this long! 

In all seriousness, we are not actually inspecting every single card under a microscope. But we know it has been a little while since we posted an update and many of you are just as eager to get your copies of the game as we are to send them to you. 

Unfortunately, as first-time game designers, we were overly optimistic about the production timeline. As our manufacturer continues with production of the game and expansion packs, that timeline is becoming more clear to us and the sad news is this: it's unlikely we will be able to deliver Greenlight before the end of the year. Current completion and shipping estimates from the manufacturer suggest that the games will be delivered to us at the beginning of 2025. 

I know this might be disappointing to some folks who were expecting to play the game with family and friends around the holidays. It's certainly disappointing to us, and I sincerely apologize for any complications this delay may cause you.

Please, please reach out to us directly at [email protected] if you have a serious issue with or concern about fulfillment. The support from this community means a lot to us, and the satisfaction of all our backers is our highest priority.

That said, the game is currently in production with the manufacturer and we are very happy with the quality and attention to detail the manufacturer is providing. We hope you all will be too when these games are finally in your hands. 

Rest assured we will provide a more accurate estimate on shipping when we know more and we will be shipping orders out as soon as the games are delivered to us (even if it's the last thing we do)! We truly appreciate you bearing with us as we navigate these hiccups and bring this project into reality; we are just as anxious and excited as I'm sure you are to play Greenlight.

Pledge manager closes Aug 30! Manufacturing underway!

Hello! 

We're excited to share that manufacturing of Greenlight is underway!

Many of you have already completed your survey through BackerKit and shared your shipping address, so when the game and reward tier items return to us from the manufacturer, we will be ready to get them in the mail to you. 

To the few stragglers who haven't yet completed their survey, please do in the next few days! On August 30th, BackerKit will close the surveys so that we have a final count of items to ship (you will still be able to edit your shipping address after if that happens to change).

We will keep you all posted with updates with the manufacturing and shipping timeline over the next few months, but with manufacturing now underway our preliminary estimate is that we will be ready to begin shipping the game to you in mid-November.

New add-ons on BackerKit

Hey folks!

Thank you to everyone who has submitted their backer survey so far! We took your advice and just added a few new add-ons on our BackerKit project page at https://playgreenlight.backerkit.com.

They include: A hand-built wooden game box sized to fit your game and all the expansion packs, a custom Best Original Screenplay Oscar Award that can be personalized and inscribed with your name, a Greenlight film slate, and a Greenlight stress ball perfect for calming those pre-pitch jitters.

You can find them all on playgreenlight.backerkit.com. If you haven't completed your survey yet, we urge you to fill it out soon so we can ship your rewards come this fall. And if you've already been getting incessant email reminders about the survey, we apologize; those are automated messages sent by BackerKit, not us. The best way to stem the flood into your inbox is to fill out the survey.

Fulfillment and pledge management

We're excited to announce that we are opening up our pledge management this week to help facilitate fulfillment of your Greenlight orders. If you are unfamiliar with pledge management or want a little more info on how it all works, we have a quick rundown for you:

Today or tomorrow, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys in August in order to get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://playgreenlight.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://playgreenlight.backerkit.com/faq.

Greenlight: Wrapped

Yesterday at 9pm PST, this Kickstarter project officially came to a close, and thanks to your incredible support—all 895 of you—we are thrilled to now say that Greenlight is fully funded far beyond all of our wildest expectations. Thank you!

While the Kickstarter campaign may be over, this is just the beginning for us. With over 1000 copies of Greenlight ordered here, and hundreds more expansion packs, we will soon begin the exciting work of manufacturing the game so that it will be ready to ship this Fall. 

As we undertake that process, we will be sure to post regular updates about our progress here, but if you haven't already yet: give us a follow on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter (no, we're not going to call it X). There, we will post regular updates and fun new content, like photos and videos from our wildly successful award ceremony and roast for Tobey Maguire on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past weekend. In fact, here's a photo now:

There are a few things need to happen before we kick off production and fulfillment. Here's a quick rundown:

First, we will be working with BackerKit as pledge manager, so that all of our backers can easily manage their pledges over the next several weeks. That's in the process now, but bear with us: it will likely take a week or two for the pledge manager to go live. 

Around that same time, Kickstarter will transfer the funds to us and those will be used to pay for manufacturing of the game. We are planning on placing the order as soon as Kickstarter makes that transfer, likely around June 26th.

Second, we will be in touch with every individual backer in order to get your shipping address, so we can mail you the game. We’ll be sending out a BackerKit survey soon to collect this information.

We’ll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards. 

If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)
