We are shipping out your games, finally!

Once your order is shipped, you should receive a message to the email address you've provided with tracking information for the shipment. We're working on packing and shipping around 800 orders, so please bear with us for just a little while longer as we get these to you. 

If you have yet to fill out your survey or provide shipping info on BackerKit, it's not too late! You can still go to the link below, enter the email you used to support this project, and fill out your survey—so we can send your games to you.

Hello! This is a quick update to say that we will be locking shipping addresses on Monday, before we begin to ship out orders. If your address has changed since you completed your survey on BackerKit, we ask that you please take a moment to update it this weekend.

Shipping orders beginning on 02/24!

Hello! We're excited to share an update on order fulfillment...

This past weekend we got news from our manufacturer: all units of Greenlight left their facility overseas on Saturday, January 25th bound for us here in Los Angeles.

We are expecting to receive the shipment by the weekend of February 21st, at which point we will immediately begin fulfilling orders and shipping these games and rewards to you all. 

We couldn't be more proud of how the final, printed games look. Here are a few pics of the finished products: 

If your shipping address has changed since filling out your survey on BackerKit and you'd like to change it, you can update it by following the directions found here:

We won't lock addresses until later in February when we are ready to begin shipping orders, and we'll let you know before we do that!

Timeline updates and a Greenlight production sample

The holidays are just around the corner, manufacturing of Greenlight is finally wrapping up, and we have some updates to share.

First, at the end of this past week we got a clearer idea of the remaining production timeline from our manufacturer. We expect production of all the games will be completed on December 25th. (A Christmas miracle!) 

By law, the games must pass safety testing before they leave the manufacturing plant. We don't think this card game poses any danger besides its potential to reshape moviemaking as we know it, but still Greenlight has to pass all the required tests. Safety testing will take an additional 10 days or so. Then the game will ship to us by ocean freight. The minute it arrives, we are going to get it back in transit to your doorsteps. We will post an update before we ship orders out.

With production completion close at hand, we also recently received a sample of the final, finished game from the manufacturer. Here it is:

We couldn't be happier with the final design and quality of the game and we are very, very grateful for all of your patience and support in allowing us the time to arrive at this finished product. Thank you!!

To help manage inventory and prepare for shipping, we will be locking orders on BackerKit for everyone who has finalized their pledge and provided shipping information. This will only lock your selection of items—not your shipping information.

An update on order fulfillment

When we launched Greenlight and promised that every card would be factory-certified by trained technicians, we had no idea it would take this long! 

In all seriousness, we are not actually inspecting every single card under a microscope. But we know it has been a little while since we posted an update and many of you are just as eager to get your copies of the game as we are to send them to you. 

Unfortunately, as first-time game designers, we were overly optimistic about the production timeline. As our manufacturer continues with production of the game and expansion packs, that timeline is becoming more clear to us and the sad news is this: it's unlikely we will be able to deliver Greenlight before the end of the year. Current completion and shipping estimates from the manufacturer suggest that the games will be delivered to us at the beginning of 2025. 

I know this might be disappointing to some folks who were expecting to play the game with family and friends around the holidays. It's certainly disappointing to us, and I sincerely apologize for any complications this delay may cause you.

Please, please reach out to us directly at [email protected] if you have a serious issue with or concern about fulfillment. The support from this community means a lot to us, and the satisfaction of all our backers is our highest priority.

That said, the game is currently in production with the manufacturer and we are very happy with the quality and attention to detail the manufacturer is providing. We hope you all will be too when these games are finally in your hands. 

Rest assured we will provide a more accurate estimate on shipping when we know more and we will be shipping orders out as soon as the games are delivered to us (even if it's the last thing we do)! We truly appreciate you bearing with us as we navigate these hiccups and bring this project into reality; we are just as anxious and excited as I'm sure you are to play Greenlight.
